I’m Arlyne Arteaga, and I’m so glad you found your way here.  

Whether you’re a teen, young adult, adult, or part of a couple trying to reconnect, heal, or communicate better, I want you to know something right away: you don’t have to figure things out alone. Therapy with me isn’t rigid, formal, or disconnected from your real life—it's human, grounded, and centered around who you are and how you move through the world.

A Little About Me

I’m a bilingual, bicultural, first-generation Latina therapist who understands what it’s like to navigate multiple worlds, identities, and expectations. Growing up between cultures shaped my passion for helping people—especially teens, college students, young adults, and couples—unpack generational patterns, relationship stress, identity confusion, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.”

My clients describe me as real, approachable, grounded, and easy to talk to, even about the things they’ve never said out loud before. I bring humor, honesty, and deep compassion into the therapy room—because healing shouldn’t feel intimidating or out of reach.

My life outside the office is rooted in community. I’ve been part of grassroots efforts supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant, and Spanish-speaking communities in Utah. These experiences keep me connected, humble, and committed to advocating for mental-health access and equity.

My Approach to Therapy

Whether we’re working one-on-one or in couples therapy, I provide a collaborative, culturally aware, somatic, and trauma-informed space where we go at your pace.

I integrate approaches including:

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

  • Somatic Experiencing

  • EMDR-informed techniques

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Mindfulness & grounding practices

  • CBT

  • Polyvagal Theory

  • Attachment-based & relational therapies

For couples:

I help partners understand each other more deeply by exploring communication patterns, attachment wounds, trauma responses, cultural expectations, and emotional needs.
My work with couples centers safety and connection, especially for:

  • intercultural or bicultural couples

  • LGBTQ+ couples

  • couples navigating trauma or life transitions

  • partners struggling with emotional disconnect

  • relationships recovering from conflict, stress, or miscommunication

Couples therapy with me is not about blame—it’s about rebuilding trust, strengthening communication, and creating relationship patterns that feel safe, supportive, and sustainable.
